"Sapphira is a small, quiet town with small, quiet people. Quiet, that is, until the peace is broken by a town drunk who manages to drown himself in the river. His death is the first domino in a memorable weekend for the citizens of Sapphira, who must somehow hold themselves together through a funeral, a wedding, and a misguided theater production. 'Saint Sapphira' explores how community and friendship are the only responses when we are surrounded by our personal demons and tragedies."
